"I AM" Bible Study Lesson Seven Who Am I?
Background Passages
Exodus 3:10-22
Key Verse:
"But Moses said to God, 'Who am I, that I should to to Pharaoh and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?'"
Exodus 3:11
Discussion Questions:1. How would you answer the questions, "Who Am I?"
I think for some reason I am missing the point that Lisa is trying to get across to me. I just didn't seem to get this lesson.
2. Have you ever been in a situation where you felt inadequate because of your lack of a 'tagline'?
All the time, and I over compensate by trying to be the one with all the answers. Leading people to think that I am a know it all, and I truely hate that. I think that I have learned to be comfortable in my own skin, God is teaching me that is no where my comfort/faith is suppose to be, that I need to be comfortable in who I am in Christ Jesus.
3. Do you have skills or position that you believe God could use mightily if only He would?
No, I am still living in the desert, and there are no skills there.
4. Have you ever lost a position or station in life you believe could have 'helped God out' with something He has asked you to do? If you haven't lost out, do you perhaps feel you have to gain this in order to be useful to the Kingdom?
I have never lost a position or station in live, that could have 'helped God out'.
5. How are you with your dialogue vs. doubt conversations with God? Which does God hear most from you?
Most of my conversations with God of late have been trying to praise Him enough to something I need. I hate where I am, but am to afraid to do anything about it.
6. Do you believe God's Wonders become more wonderful if they originate in the ordinary? Any Scripture references come to mind?
Yes, one of my favorite scenes of late is that of Mary washing Jesus' feet with her tears, and wiping them dry with her hair.

Sallye,
I think you said it best in your answer to the second question. The point of this lesson is that we need to learn to define ourselves by who we our in Christ, not by any labels that may have been put on us by people or even by ourselves. I am working on that, but it's been a big issue for me all my life letting those labels define me instead of letting God define me!
You are a child of the Most High God and as far as having skills, I can testify that you are very caring and you are an awesome encourager to your friends!
